"Blank Eyes”, Gorsegner specifically wrote about a topic much closer to home, taking out his anxieties and fears in a familiar way. last year, his wife suffered a very serious bout of postpartum depression after delivering their first child. What should have been a joyous few months quickly careened into a downward spiral and turned into an uncertain, dark period. That is what gives this brief song its fire.

Gorsegner explains, “I’ve always considered punk rock a bit therapeutic, but it took on a new meaning for me during this time. I found comfort in playing guitar and channeling gross, shitty feelings through writing songs more than I ever have. This is one of those songs.” - Nerdist
