Swindled

I think I might've fucked up I never thought I'd be here
Fighting for every normal feeling I’m not thinking clear
I count the numbers I thought might get me out of here
Instead they swindled themselves past me the days turned to years

Can I be the one who cares for nothing so nothing hurts?
When all was said and done I just wanted to forget it
Can I be the one who learns the lecture before the lesson?
In more ways than one I surrender and remember where I’ve been

I think I might've fucked up I’ve taken everything I did
Smashed up against my memory so I can start thinking less
Its never where you come from it’s how hard you work to get here
I’m scarred up and down from the inside out and you’re left free and clear

I’m having a hard time finding the words that will ignite the consequence
I’m saving them up for when that first crack hits the ice and sinks you in
It’s better to find out from the source of what you think is happiness
That it’ll never be the same
